ALMOST DEAD with June MotherWolff Hardy & David.Denise

OMG, where do I start? Can I start off with a big ol' sigh in this blog? Ok, imagine I'm sighing.... it sounds kind of like I ran a marathon but I had to juggle knives while I did it. Yes, that sounds about right. That's how I will begin. I know I haven't had a podcast out in over a year, but there is a reason for that. First of all, I have had a crummy year. I have had so many financial problems, including facing eviction and losing my car to the Repo Man. But in the end, I managed to save the new townhouse we are living in here in New Jersey. We officially moved here in October 2023 and it's absolutely beautiful and my first real house in my 40s. I'm very happy. It also looks like we are going to have a white Christmas this years since it's been snowing the last few days.

Second, this podcast and my ALMOST DEAD episode is serving as a final project in my college course for my Masters Degree at Thomas Edison University. I've been taking a few classes here and there since 2024 began. I really hope to finish and be a college professor one day. I'm slowing chipping away at it, and it looks like my teaching credential will be transferred to New Jersey by early January. And though it's not official yet, it looks like I will be a long-term sub teaching 3D printing at a nearby middle school for 4 months. The pay is good since I have all the teaching credential stuff under my belt. The job should help immensely.

My guests on the show were June MotherWolff Hardy and David.Denise from the Catfish TV show, Season 8, episode 74. I had interviewed June in the last podcast I did, Lisa Feels Confused, based on the strange interaction June had with David on the show. Turns out, David had multiple personalities. One of his alter egos is a woman named Denise. Seeing his voice change from David to Denise was really something. If you haven't see the episode, I recommend checking it out.

I have continuously been in contact with June and David since I recorded my previous episode in 2023. We all get along and I look forward to hanging out with them sometime in York, Pa. Unfortunantly, it may have to wait until I get a new car since mine got reposessed. No big, as I have been meaning to figure out the car sitution because with my $2700 rent, paying $650 a month is a bit steep.

One interesting thing to watch on this episode is when I asked David if I can talk to Denise. It took a few, but suddenly the dogs around them both started acting differently. It was proof to me that these kinds of things--disassociative identitities--are legitimate and happen due to the complexity of our brains. Those that have alters usually have them to help them cope better with a recurring problem in their life. June answered more questions about being a devout Satanist and David discussed his spiritual beliefs, which are things like voodoo, wiccan, Santaria, even a brief stint in the Moonies cult.
